Typical entry in the international espionage genre, this is well-made in attractive Portugese locations. Edwards is rather leaden as the hero but looks he could handle himself in a fight. Geeson is the gorgeous embodiment of a Swinging 60's chick. The rest of the cast are capable but don't have a lot of character depth. The plot has agent Edwards attending a London art happening, where he is hired to get the goods on eccentric meglomaniac Vaughan who plans to steal NATO secrets , hiring actor Bates to replace a delegate at a meeting. Kooky Geeson follows Edwards after a meet cute at the happening but only serves to become a hostage for the bad guys. Two more films were planned featuring the character of Charles Hood but this failed to light up the box office so that was it. As portrayed here, he had very few appealing traits and no backstory, so the franchise had no chance. Still, this is an entertaining romp and Geeson is a dazzler.
